My work celebrates the rich colours and textures of the world around us.
I am a printmaker specialising in collographs which i hand produce in small editions. The prints are richly coloured and textured often using layers of hand-made papers
and gold and silver-leaf to achieve the desired effect. Due to the complex methods i use, the prints, although given an edition number, all vary and each one is a unique piece.
Recently i have started to work with stained glass and have produced several decorative panels which complement my printmaking work.
My inspiration comes from nature, the cycles of growth and renewal, the arid landscapes of Morocco and Southern Spain and the seaside town of Whitstable
where i spent my youth.
The links with the sea are evident in my work particularly the Beach Hut series of prints insired both by childhood memories and my experience of living in Brighton
when i was an art student.
Now living in Dorking, Surrey i work from a small studio in my house which i open to the public every June as part of the Surrey Artists Open Studios scheme.
I am a member of two artists co-operatives : The Greenwich Printmakers and the Southbank Printmakers both of which have their own artist-run galleries in London.
I have exhibited widely both in the UK and abroad.
Exhibitions include:
The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition
The Royal Society of Painter-Ethchers and Engravers Open Exhibition,
The Contemporary Print Fair
